Style File: Overseas Inspiration – Asia

The Style File by Leah Wong

Designers drew inspiration from around the world for their Resort 2010 collections. The first stop on our fashion map of the world is Asia, with obi-style belts and kimono sleeves featured on the runway. With Chinese New Years starting this Sunday, it is the perfect time to wear your Asian-inspired pieces. Though the fabrics used in these collections were made for spring, the concept of waist-emphasis is in season all year long.

Style File: Completely Cobalt

The Style File by Leah Wong

As retailers release their pre-spring collections, cobalt blue has emerged as a popular colour this season. Being a shade appropriate for both spring and winter, this beautiful blue can be bought now to wear immediately and in the warmer months to come. Cobalt is flattering with most skin tones and hair colours making it an easy colour to wear. The perfect pop of colour when contrasted with black now, or white in the summer.
