Safari-chic khaki pieces, as well as flashy animal prints work well for women navigating the urban jungle, while printed head-scarves and gladiator sandals are perfect for the modern warrior goddess. While runway looks are meant for warmer months, fashion bloggers are incorporating African inspired trends into their winter looks.

Though the fabrics used in these collections were made for spring, the concept of waist-emphasis is in season all year long.
